Love Who You Are!!!
This teen testimony was submitted by Yaya Azucena
I remember me being in 8th grade.
I always use to compare myself with the other girls that had a nicer body than me. Even though I was skinny.
I use to hate it and always call myself fat. I would stop eating to supposedly be happy with myself and look pretty.
But the truth was that day-by-day, I was getting skinnier and uglier!
I remember my uncle telling me that I was getting skinny and ugly until I realized that I was messing my body up and started eating again.
At that time, I was 14. Now, I’m 20. I’m still skinny (a normal size), but sometimes I still put myself down. But, there’s my boyfriend to help me out by telling me that I’m beautiful the way I am.

Yaya,
It’s great that your struggle with anorexia is over and how you feel so much better. that’s absolutely beautiful.
Continue to grow strong in your self evaluating ability to love yourself – prize yourself – esteem your worth through the eyes of the One who created you. He makes no junk. When He made you, He formed a wonderful creation – one with beauty and ability to do great things.
Walk boldly and confidently in the knowledge of that. If somebody else recognizes that – it’s okay. And if they don’t – that’s okay too because your appreciation of yourself is not left in somebody else’s hand.
U, Yaya, love U.
